MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Financial Year Ending 31 March 2026
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps Taylor Forgings Limited (“Taylor Forgings”, “we”, “us”) has taken to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains during the financial year ending [date].
Our Business and Supply Chains
Taylor Forgings Limited is a UK‑based manufacturer and supplier of forged components to the engineering, construction and related sectors, operating in Sheffield and employing approximately 20 people. Our supply chains include suppliers of raw materials, engineering and maintenance services, logistics providers, contractors for site operations, professional services and recruitment agencies.
Our Approach and Policies
We have a zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Our commitment is supported by:
A Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
Recruitment and Employment Policies ensuring legal right‑to‑work checks, fair pay and working conditions
A Whistleblowing / Speak‑Up Policy allowing concerns to be raised without fear of retaliation via our dedicated email address
Contractual expectations and, where applicable, a Supplier Code of Conduct requiring suppliers to prohibit forced labour and respect human rights.
Due Diligence and Risk Management
We take a risk‑based approach to modern slavery by:
Identifying higher‑risk areas in our operations and supply chains (e.g. use of agency labour and certain categories of raw materials or services)
Checking that key suppliers acknowledge and comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (or equivalent laws) and, where relevant, have their own policies or statements
Including appropriate clauses on compliance with modern slavery requirements in supplier and contractor contracts
Verifying employees’ right to work in the UK and ensuring payment of at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage.
Where we identify concerns, we investigate and may work with suppliers to improve standards or, if necessary, review or end the relationship.
Training and Awareness
Relevant staff, particularly in procurement and HR, are provided with guidance on recognising and managing modern slavery risks and on how to report concerns.
Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement
We recognise that combating modern slavery is an ongoing process. Our priorities include strengthening supplier risk assessments, enhancing contractual requirements and developing training for staff in higher‑risk roles.
Reporting Concerns
Employees, suppliers and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking related to our business or supply chains by contacting our Compliance Officer at compliance@taylorforgings.com. Concerns raised in good faith will not result in any detrimental treatment.
